Glen Elgin, 12 yr old, Single Malt Scotch Whisky

$94.95 inc GST

700 ml, 43.0% abv, Scotland, Speyside

A very soft 12 year old. This distillery bottling replaces the previous very popular Flora & Fauna issue of Glen Elgin, and represents great value for money.

“fruitcake in a bottle”

Its style is smooth, mellow and sweetly honeyed. Soft spring water comes from the area of Millbuies Loch to the south-east of the distillery.

“A combination of long, slow ferments, and distillation coupled with worm tubs gives a ludicrously fruity spirit, which here is bulging with ripe peach, apricot, and Galia melon coated in cinnamon and nutmeg, given thick weight by the worm tubs. A classic.” (Dave Broom)

“Ginger, crystallised barley sweet and a complex array of fruit on the nose, a beautiful balanced taste with light fruit, sweet spice and a zesty freshness and mouth filling finish.” (Dominic Roskrow)
