Bunnahabhain,’ Toiteach’ Peaty, Single Malt Scotch Whisky

700 ml, 46% abv, Scotland (Islay)

Toiteach (pronounced Toch Chach) means ‘smoky’ in Scots Gaelic, and is made with heavily peated barley.

The distillery is usually known to produce the lightest of all the Islay single malt whiskies with extremely low levels of peat influence, compared to most of the other distilleries on the island.

What if a touch of smoke from peated malted barley was introduced in the distillation process to the Bunnahabhain single malt and some sherry influence on this as well?

This ‘limited edition’ bottling offers the connoisseur an opportunity to try something truly unique and beguiling in nature. This malt has been masterfully distilled and matured at the distillery, with an average age of ten to eleven years, never leaving Islay during the process.
