For those fortunate enough to uncover it, here lies a gem of a whisky. Tobermory 12 (released in early 2019) has a palette of vibrant fruit and spice with a subtle saltiness reflective of the harbour waters at Tobermory. Matured in American oak casks for a 12 years before being bottled at 46.3% abv.
Nose : Rich fruit, orange and citrus notes, fresh floral hints and rich oak with vanilla and spice.
Palate : Sweet orange and citrus, creamy caramel and rich vanilla with spicy hints of cinnamon and clove.
Finish : Long and lingering vanilla and spice.
