The Glencadam distillery is a little known distillery that is located in the eastern Highlands of Scotland. It was built in 1825 by George Cooper, in the town of Brechin, which lies between Dundee and Aberdeen.
Historically Glencadam has formed an important part of top selling blends such as Ballantine’s and Teacher’s. Like so many other distilleries, Glencadam experienced a massive number of changes in ownership during the 19th century. It had been closed by the previous owners in 2000, but everything was kept intact so that production could restart immediately. Angus Dundee Distillers took over the distillery and reopened it in 2003.
Glencadam has won many Gold and Silver awards.

A nose to take 10-15minutes with, as the clarity allows you to see a long way”. He provides a truly magnificent portrayal of the Glencadam 21 year old which finishes by complementing this particular expression and furthermore the Glencadam Distillery: “as one of the great Scottish single malt distilleries. Each label is individually numbered, and the cask number and the date of distillation and bottling are recorded. Beautiful timber gift box. "The limited-edition 25 Year Old, laid down before the turn-of-the-millennium shutdown of the distillery, is a beauty. Aged in ex-bourbon barrels, it’s quite sprightly for its age, with a pale gold color and a sweet, floral nose. It’s supple and creamy on the tongue, with rich notes of vanilla, honey, and marzipan, and a dry, slightly spicy finish"
"rich and complex with notes of tropical fruit, nuts, ginger and pepper"
