In the long and illustrious history of whisky, there has never been a single definitive glass that the whisky world could call its own, now, following in the tradition of Scottish innovation, the Glencairn Glass arrived.
“Glencairn Crystal” was rewarded in 2006 when the Glencairn Glass won The Queens Award for Innovation. The whisky glass is now used by all Scottish and Irish distilleries.
The first glass came into production in 2001 and is machine made from fine, lead-free crystal, in Europe. Dishwasher safe, it is approximately 115 mm in height and holds approximately 170 ml.
