Description
NOSE : Creamy, nutty, lightly peaty.
PALATE : Full-bodied. Decidedly silky-smooth. Spiced cake. Candied lemon peels. Lots of flavour development.
FINISH : Smoky, rooty, treacly. Impeccable balance between sweetness and dryness.
OVERALL : The obvious sherry ageing really suits Blair Athol. It is a malt that matures quickly, and this is very sophisticated for its age. A lovely whisky.
