Laphroaig QA CASK (Quercus Alba) Double Matured. The first maturation, takes place in ex-bourbon barrels. Then it is transferred to fresh uncharred American white oak casks. This second intense maturation creates a balanced fusion of the heavy peat smoke with warm spicy vanilla wood notes. The length of time of this important second maturation varies, with each cask carefully monitored to ensure the exact balance of flavour is achieved.

Nose : Peat and smoke, very sweet and heavy on vanilla and honey. With some time, smokier, brine, rounded and very tamed.
Palate : Smoke, slabs of sweet leather & cured meat, dash of sweet peat and even less ash.
Finish : Medium length with lingering peat, smoke, sweet honey and vanilla, very mellow.
