Mackmyra expedition celebrates the whisky craft and the never-ending search for new and inspiring expressions. Their philosophy is simple, they want to make whisky that will take you on a journey to discover things you didn’t know you like. This bottling has been aged initially in American and Swedish oak casks, before a finishing period in barrels that had held cloudberry wine. (Cloudberry (known as knotberry in England, averin in Scotland and bakeapple in parts of North America) is a fruit somewhat similar to the mulberry)

Nose :Â Spicy and smoky with a complex palette of vanilla, fruits and berries. A combination of cloudberries, spicy Swedish oak, juniper smoke and peat.
Taste :Â Fruity and spicy with juniper, caramel fudge, cloudberries and dried fruits
Aftertaste :Â Spicy and slightly smoky with an elegant fruitiness and notes of liquorice.
